Preamble

Section 1 — Pursuant to provincial transit and highway statutes and the operating frameworks of the regional transit authorities, this Proclamation governs the delivery of transit and toll notifications.

Authority of regional transit operators (PRESTO/Metrolinx, TransLink) to inform riders of service and fare changes.

Highway 407 Act, 1998

Tolling and account-notification framework for the 407 ETR electronic toll route.

Implementation

Transit feed subscription

4notify subscribes to PRESTO, Compass and VIA Rail service feeds; rider latency under 90 seconds.

Line / station preference

Riders save a line (e.g. "Line 1 Yonge-University") or station pair; only relevant disruptions are sent.

03

407 ETR toll reminder

Registered vehicles receive an end-of-day reminder when a balance is low or a trip toll is unpaid.
