Dispatch, Out for Delivery, Safe Place and Reschedule notifications across Royal Mail, Parcelforce, Evri, DPD UK, Yodel and Amazon Logistics
United Kingdom e-commerce dispatches over 4.5 billion parcels a year through six major networks: Royal Mail and Parcelforce (Royal Mail Group), Evri (the rebrand of Hermes), DPD UK, Yodel, Amazon Logistics and InPost UK. 4notify ingests carrier-side dispatch events, normalises them through a single envelope schema and dispatches Out-for-Delivery, Delivered and Safe-Place alerts with one-tap reschedule on the four MNOs and the major email providers.
Whereas the carriers listed in the heading operate the principal parcel delivery networks of the United Kingdom and rely on customer-facing dispatch notifications to operate the Safe Place, Neighbour, Click-and-Collect and Reschedule options, and whereas merchants routinely receive carrier webhooks in heterogeneous formats, the present Notice records the canonical envelope through which 4notify normalises and dispatches carrier events into the customer's primary channel.
Royal Mail Universal Service Obligation; Ofcom regulates pricing and quality of service standards.
Carrier reporting standards on missed delivery, redirected delivery and complaint resolution.
Carrier webhook normalisation
4notify ingests Royal Mail Mailmark, Parcelforce CRM, Evri Track, DPD My Account, Yodel, Amazon Logistics ARN and InPost webhooks; converts to a single dispatch envelope.
Safe Place + Neighbour pre-authorisation
Customer SMS reply ("SP YES", "NB 47") captured and propagated back to the carrier API before the delivery attempt.
Out-for-Delivery window dispatch
Two-hour delivery window dispatched 60 minutes before the window opens; one-tap reschedule link to the carrier portal.
Delivered + proof-of-delivery
Delivery confirmation with photo proof URL (where supported by the carrier); 28-day retention on the dispatch envelope per Consumer Rights Act 2015.

4notify is the only A2P platform that normalises the webhooks of all six major UK parcel networks plus Amazon Logistics ARN into a single canonical envelope with SMS reply-keyword parsing routed back to each carrier's reschedule API.
Can customers reschedule by SMS?
Yes — keyword replies (RS TUE for reschedule Tuesday, SP YES for safe place, NB 47 for leave with neighbour at #47) are parsed by 4notify and propagated to the carrier API where the carrier supports inbound updates.
Do all six carriers ship the same webhook events?
No — event coverage varies. 4notify normalises to a shared envelope; events not emitted by a carrier are synthesised from polling (e.g. Yodel Track polling on a 5-minute interval) where the carrier API allows.
What about EU returns through Royal Mail Tracked Returns?
Royal Mail Tracked Returns events propagate through the same envelope with a `direction: "return"` flag.
