Admission, enrolment and scholarship notices for KNUST, UCC, UG (Legon) and UPSA — coordinated with GTEC and WAEC

Each year hundreds of thousands of candidates sit the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) coordinates admission across the public universities — Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the University of Cape Coast (UCC), the University of Ghana (Legon) and UPSA — together with a robust system of GETFund scholarships and on-campus residency. 4notify delivers admission outcomes, enrolment alerts and scholarship reminders by SMS, push and email.

Preamble

Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Education Regulatory Bodies Act, 2020 (Act 1023) and the constitutional autonomy of the public universities of Ghana, this Proclamation is issued concerning the delivery of tertiary-education alerts.

Statutory basis
Education Regulatory Bodies Act, 2020 (Act 1023)

Establishes GTEC and the regulatory framework over the public universities, polytechnics and technical institutions.

West African Examinations Council Act, 1971 (NLC Decree 415)

Establishes WAEC and its mandate over the WASSCE examination underlying tertiary admission in Ghana.

University event subscription
