PSD2 SCA: OTP delivery for Latvian online banking via LMT, Tele2 and Bite

Latvian banks (Swedbank Latvia, SEB banka, Citadele banka, Luminor banka, Rietumu banka) implement PSD2 SCA with SMS or push OTP. 4notify delivers OTP via tier-1 gateway with P50 <3s across LMT, Tele2 and Bite networks.

Context

OTP not arriving in 30s causes transaction abandonment. At peak hours delays compound on grey routes.

Steps
01

Premium tier-1 routing

All OTPs via tier-1 premium gateway — never grey route. Alphanumeric sender ID preserved.

Auto carrier detection

HLR lookup classifies number into LMT/Tele2/Bite.

03

TTL 5min + one-time use

Each OTP with 5-min TTL and one-time use.

04

Push fallback for bank app

If user has bank's official app, OTP first as encrypted push.
