MTR service notices, Octopus top-ups, harbour-tunnel tolls and Hong Kong Tramways: mobility alerts for the territory
More than five million journeys a day move across the MTR network; tens of millions of Octopus taps clear retail and transit each week; and Hong Kong's harbour tunnels and trunk roads handle hundreds of thousands of toll events daily. 4notify integrates with the open mobility feeds, the MTR service-status API and the Transport Department's toll feeds and delivers disruption notices and toll receipts on the customer's preferred channel.
Whereas, by virtue of the Road Traffic Ordinance (Cap. 374), the Mass Transit Railway Ordinance (Cap. 556) and the Tramway Ordinance (Cap. 107), it is hereby ordained concerning the delivery of mobility notices to Hong Kong residents.
Circulation framework, toll collection on government tunnels and trunk roads, and the obligation to issue receipts.
Operating rules for Hong Kong Tramways on Hong Kong Island.
Open data + MTR feed subscription
4notify subscribes to the open mobility data and the MTR service-status feed; latency to the customer is under 90 seconds.
Line / station preference
The customer saves a line (for example "Tsuen Wan Line") or a station pair; they only receive disruptions that affect them.
Toll receipt
Customers with a registered vehicle receive an end-of-day reminder if their auto-toll account is low or there are unpaid passes on a government tunnel or trunk road.

How fast do disruption notices arrive?
From the feed to the customer's handset, P50 is under 90 seconds; the MTR feed itself may be slower at source on incident detection.
Can fleets subscribe to toll receipts without owning the vehicle?
Yes — fleet operators and leasing companies subscribe by licence plate; individual customers by their own plate.
