Medical confidentiality: data sharing requires patient consent.
MijnZorg, PGO Personal Health Environment, ZorgDomein and pharmacy notifications for the Dutch patient
Over 4 million Dutch citizens use a MedMij-certified PGO (Personal Health Environment). MijnZorg, ZorgDomein and pharmacy systems send appointment confirmations, prescription-ready alerts and clinical correspondence. 4notify integrates with MedMij interfaces for delivery with patient-identity blinding.
Pursuant to the Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO) and the MedMij Admission Declaration, Nictiz in consultation with the Royal Dutch Pharmacists Association issues the following Notice.
Technical + procedural assessment framework for PGO providers.
MedMij certification + Nictiz interface
4notify is MedMij-admitted and holds a current security attestation from Nictiz.
Patient identity blinding
BSN hashed (SHA-256 + salt) at envelope level; cleartext BSN stays with care provider.
Three-channel cascade

4notify is the only A2P service provider with MedMij Admission and simultaneous Nictiz security attestation for delivery to all three MedMij-certified PGO providers (Quli, MedMij Personal Lab, Patient1).
Can 4notify see patient names?
No. The delivery envelope carries only hashed BSN; pharmacy or practice holds patient name and resolves the hash locally before populating template.
